Editorial Policies
Editorial policy is the set of guidelines by which the news organization operates. It includes the news organization's attitudes toward its community and aids editors in making editorial decisions.
Evidence-Based Medicine
Evidence based medicine (EBM) is the conscientious, explicit, judicious and reasonable use of modern, best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients. EBM integrates clinical experience and patient values with the best available research information.
Conflict Of Interest Policies
A conflict of interest (COI) is a situation in which a person or organization is involved in multiple interests, financial or otherwise, and serving one interest could involve working against another. Typically, this relates to situations in which the personal interest of an individual or organization might adversely affect a duty owed to make decisions for the benefit of a third party.
Off-Label Drug Use Policies
The FDA approves drugs or specific indications that are included in the drug's labeling. When a drug is used for an indication other than those specifically included in the labeling, it is referred to as an off-label use. Many off-label uses are effective, well-documented in the literature, and widely used.
