What is Encyclomedics?
A- Algorithmic approach to medical diagnosis and treatment is a well stablished method in medical education and practice. Medical algorithms are flow charts with concise texts that mostly point to a problem and flows it toward the solution with a brief explanation for that solution. While a medical professional reads an algorithm, s/he cannot get much information about the disease process from the algorithm.
B- In "Encyclomedics", we prepare a peer-reviewed "Medical Encyclopedia" based on the algorithmic approach to comprehensive medical education. We have incorporated each disease process into a simple flowing chart like an algorithm with extensive cross-linking. Each aspect of the disease (like definition, epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment) is explained comprehensively, but in simple, separate short phrases that can be reviewed very quickly.
C- Encyclomedics with its algorithmic structure is designed to be the basis for future use of AI in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
